Red flags

Backtests without walk-forward reality, spreads, or slippage.
A retail EA sold on a landing page with a bonus e-book.
Any claim that a downloaded script extracts easy money from FX markets.

Evidence

Forex and retail off-exchange trading are a long-standing fraud and loss factory; regulators publish this in plain language.
A strategy that printed money in a backtest can fail the moment live spreads and weekends arrive.
The seller’s business model is license fees, not a shared hedge fund.

Currency markets are not a vending machine for a $197 expert advisor. If a file could drain pip after pip, it would not be sold next to a countdown timer.

People still buy robots because the alternative — sitting still, or admitting the market is hard — feels worse. That feeling is the product.

Treat unsolicited EA pitches the way you would treat a stranger offering a locked briefcase of cash. You already know how that story ends.
